Robbie was sat with his back facing towards me sitting on a small wall. Slowly i made my way to him. "R...Rob..?" I looked at him. I never saw Robbie so angry before.. he wouldn't hurt me i know that for sure... His face turned to me and gave me a soft smile. "Hi...Babe.." He looked at me with his watery eyes. I sat beside him on the wall slowly stroking his back. "Do you want to talk about it...." I planted a soft kiss on his forehead. "C..can we go back to the hotel..? I don't want to say here... out in the open..." He rested his head on my shoulder. "Sure babe..."
We arrived back to our room. "Coffee?" I stroked his hand. "Please..." He walked over to the sofa and took off his trainers. I poured two coffees and joined him on the sofa. "Take your time gorgeous..." Still i had no idea what this is all about, but whatever it is it's upset Robbie. I stroked his hair whilst sipping my coffee. "When i do... promise you wont leave me..." Robbie looked up at me with pleading eyes. "N...Never babe..." I kissed him. He hands were wrapped around his coffee mug. "A good few years ago after i left the band... erm... i hit rock bottom... awful time of my career... i felt like my life was over what could i now do? Things came into my head to end everything.. end me... but that was until i found her..." Robbie paused. I stroked his back. Her? Okay... "Come on babe..." I stroked his back. "She was my first love... she saved me in a way... a year or so later... i proposed to her... and the ring... god she loved that ring... so protective over it forever cleaning it... she said it was so special to her she'd never let it out of her sight. We decided to come here... for a holiday before deciding where to get married... We were on the beach and for the first time she took the ring off because she didn't want to loose in when she went swimming. She put it in my wallet for safe keepings. I watched her in the sea whilst i went to order our drinks....but that was before..." Robbie started to cry softly. "Its...okay babe..." I swallowed hard and wrapped my arm around him for support. "B...Before... the sea took her away...from...m...me..." He sobbed against my chest. Oh..my..god... "Babe... oh my god... i...i don't know..what to say..." I held him tight in my arms. "I..I tried to help... but...she wasn't anywhere... i ran...i ran as fast as i could... but she had gone... a lot of people came in the sea looking for her... calling her name... but she never answered... The woman who saved my life... had her life taken away... her body was never found... the...the only thing i had left of her other than photos.... was the engagement ring... now it's gone..just like her..." He sobbed against my chest. "Oh...baby... that's awful..." I cried softly with him. This poor man... going through something like that alone... i can't believe it. "S...she promised to...to never leave me..." He wiped his eyes. "Yaz..." His lip trembled. "Y...Yes..?" I wiped his eyes. "I...I'm s...sorry... please...never leave me..." My stomach felt a little funny... this story was heartbreaking. "Never... i'll always be here... no matter what...i promise." i kissed him and wiped his tears. We both laid on the sofa. Robbie still in my arms, as we slowly drifted off.
